How to join GS1 Tajikistan?

If you and your organisation want to place barcodes on your  products, use the standards and specifications of the GS1 System and, where necessary, consult the specifications for the GS1 eCom electronic data interchange standards and obtain an international GS1 Global Location Number identification number, then you need to join one of the GS1 Member Organisations.

Under international rules, joining GS1 is voluntary. There are no international standards or agreements that oblige companies to place barcodes on their products, so the decision to barcode your products and to become a member of the national organisation rests with you alone.

If you have decided to place a barcode on your company’s products, you should join the GS1 Tajikistan Association, which is a member of the International GS1 Association and its sole representative in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan. There can be only one GS1 representative in each country / region.

The Association consists of member companies that accept its aims and objectives, comply with its Charter and other documents, and pay membership fees. The Association does not operate for profit, and this is set out in its founding documents.

The document confirming membership of the association is the Certificate of Membership of the GS1 Tajikistan Association.

How to join the GS1 Tajikistan Object Numbering Association

To join our association, you need to do the following:

1. Collect the required copies of documents for joining, namely: 

 a) A copy of the Certificate of State Registration (shahodatnoma) 

 b) A copy of the extract from the unified state register of legal entities (iqtibos) 

 c) A copy of the Taxpayer Identification Number certificate (guvohnoma) 

 d) A copy of the passport of the head of the company (pasporti rohbar)

2. Complete the application (original), together with the annex to the application (agreement), which is the basis for registering membership of the Association.

3. Complete the List of products (Form 2) to be barcoded.

All documents must be completed on a computer.  In addition, the documents must be signed by the head of the company only and stamped with the company seal. 

4. Once you have completed all of the above, you need to send the finished documents to our email address: gs1.tjk@mail.ru, or come to the Association’s office.
